(OR JUST CALL ME JACK)
In an era where the art world has appropriated photography for its own ends and with cameras increasingly being used to glamorize the world, I see the lens as an inviolable tool to capture the reality of life.
I don't work in studios and I never ask subjects to pose for images, although sometimes, as with certain nuclear particles under observation, people alter their behavior when they realize that they are being photographed. Often, my greatest challenge is to find a way to blend
into the background so as to capture life as it happens and perhaps one day I will succeed in achieving true incognito, possibly through situational disguises like the fictional journalist, Fletch (I joke — to a degree).
I hope that my work will draw attention to matters of importance and perhaps assist in the changes that we all hope to see in the world. Join me in my journey as I traverse the landscape of the human condition.
